We do not install solar panels and are not owned by any installer, manufacturer, or energy company. Our editorial content is written independently and is not influenced by commercial relationships. When we connect you with installers through our quote service, this is clearly separated from our editorial content.

Accuracy

  • All factual claims are based on publicly available data from recognised sources: Ofgem, MCS, Energy Saving Trust, PVGIS, and UK Government publications.
  • We cite our sources and link to original data wherever possible.
  • Cost figures and savings estimates are based on current market data and are updated at least quarterly.
  • We clearly distinguish between facts and estimates. Our calculator outputs are always described as estimates, not guarantees.

Fairness

  • We do not make negative claims about specific brands, installers, or products.
  • Product comparisons are based on publicly available specifications and are presented objectively.
  • We present both the advantages and limitations of solar energy honestly. Solar is not right for every home, and we say so when appropriate.

Plain English

We write for homeowners, not industry professionals. That means:

  • Using clear, concise language throughout.
  • Structuring content so readers can find what they need quickly.

No fake claims

  • We never fabricate testimonials, reviews, or case studies.

This commercial relationship never influences our editorial content, tool calculations, or guide recommendations.
